Lora Sellers, M.S., Corporate Director of Human Resources, Delta Star

Lora A. Sellers is currently the Corporate Director of Human Resources for Delta Star, Inc. Delta Star is a manufacturer of power transformers and mobile substations with operations in Lynchburg, Virginia, San Carlos, California, and Montreal, QC, Canada.

Lora has 25+ years of experience as a senior consultant, leadership coach, and human resources leader. She has worked as a senior leader, including as a C-Suite Executive, for companies within the pharmaceutical, financial services, and manufacturing industries, she has held positions such as Vice President of Human Resources, Director of Employment Practices for North America, and Global Diversity and Inclusion Director, just to name a few. She effectively incorporates progressive best practice HR solutions to support company strategies and drive excellence.  In 2009, during the downturn in the economy, Lora founded Sellers HR Consulting (SHRC), an independent consulting firm, that offers a full range of customized HR solutions to address clients’ specific business needs.

 

As a strategic and trusted adviser, Lora’s experience includes working with organizations to create cultures of ownership, accountability, and results. She has directed improvements in talent management, succession planning, culture change, employment practices and leadership competencies linked to strategic company goals. Building upon her extensive experience, Lora partners with leaders to establish specific goals and strategies that reflect the ever-changing dynamics of their organizations. Her collaborative and transparent approach is designed to respect and supplement the talent and capabilities already in the organization.

 

Lora is acknowledged as a change agent with exceptional communication, leadership, and problem solving skills, and the ability to establish rapport with all levels in an organization, from front line staff to senior executives. 

   

Lora obtained her Masters of Science. Human Resources Management from Wilmington University. Her Bachelors of Science, Human Resources Management from Wilmington University and a Certificate in Strategic HR Leadership from Cornell University.
