Karen’s passion is to help individuals and teams discover how to perform at their best. Over the past 15 years, her training and organizational development background have enabled her to support numerous change management initiatives, develop effective communication and teambuilding strategies, as well as strengthen leadership capabilities in a variety of industries – manufacturing, retail, and healthcare.
Healthcare demands a beautiful balance between effective results and strong relationships. Karen is credited with building and leading transformational Human Resources initiatives in the areas of culture, employee experience, technology, and leadership development. Her career expertise is enhancing corporate culture, improving employee performance and facilitating organizational change.
Karen received her Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Virginia Tech, followed by a Master’s degree in Community Counseling from Minnesota State University – Mankato. Spending time with her family and two young daughters, Kylie and Addison, are among the top joys in her life. Karen also makes a commitment to serving others and giving back to her community through service on two local non-profit Boards – Big Brothers Big Sisters of Central Virginia and The Daily Bread. Other hobbies include cooking, reading, softball, and traveling.
